5th Annual Trash Bash Art Show- Instructions for Artists

Welcome to the 5th Annual Trash Art Show in North Kohala. We are excited to have you join us and look forward to having a fun and educational show. We want your experience to be as easy as possible, so we ask that you read these instructions. If you have additional questions that are not answered below, please call Colleen at 889-5009.

Please bring your artwork ready to display, clearly labeled with your name to the Kava Kafe-Upstairs at the Mill on Monday, April 18th, between 11am and 5pm. No entries will be accepted after that date. Your art piece will be hung by Wed., April 20th. The Trash Bash Organizing Committee and the Kohala Coffee Mill accept no liability for loss or damage to any art work entered in the Trash Bash Art Show. By entering, you agree to allow your art work to be photographed and/or video taped.

The art show will kick off on Sat., April 23rd and those present will vote for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place People’s Choice Awards. Cash prizes will be awarded to winners.

When voting, the public will be asked to consider: Percentage of Recycled Materials, Creative Use of Material, Overall Appeal and Craftsmanship.

The reception and presentation of the awards will be on Saturday, April 23rd, starting at 6pm. We will serve light pupus. Kava and other beverages will be available for purchase. The winners will be announced at about 7:30pm–please plan to attend so you, the artist, can be acknowledged.

If you would like to sell your artwork, please see Karen Rosen to arrange the details. The money will be collected by the staff Upstairs at the Mill.

The exhibition will be up through May, please plan to pick up your art by Tuesday, May 31st. If it is not picked up, it will be recycled once again. Due to limited space Upstairs, you may be asked to take your piece back soon after the reception.
